Have you signed up for the Breast Cancer Ireland Great Pink Run proudly supported by its4women.ie?
Here at its4women.ie we are delighted to once again support Breast Cancer Irelands Great Pink Run, taking place on September 9th in Dublin’s Phoenix Park. This wonderful event offers a 10k challenge, lead last year by Olympic silver medallist and 5000m world champion Sonia O’Sullivan, and also a 5k fun run.
The aim of The Great Pink Run is to raise awareness and vital funds to speed up research discovery, to foster better treatment outcome for patients and to save lives through breast cancer education and awareness for women of all ages. With over 2800 women in Ireland diagnosed every year, we will all know of someone who has cancer, and the Great Pink Run is a great opportunity to show our support. The funds from this year’s event will go directly to assist Breast Cancer Ireland’s ongoing research and awareness efforts nationally.
Its4women.ie brand manager Alex Todd commented, “Its4women.ie have been proudly supporting Breast Cancer Ireland for over 4 years now and have raised over €70,000 for the worthy cause to date. This plays a vital role sustaining the fantastic services the charity provides through their vital research and national education and outreach programs. It allows Breast Cancer Ireland to continue their participation in world-wide clinical trials and purchase cutting edge laboratory research equipment that will enhance a patient’s recovery time, ultimately resulting in better patient outcome. The Great Pink Run is one of many fundraising initiatives we support each year to help beat breast cancer and make a difference to the many thousands of people affected by it. We’re all looking forward to this year’s event.”
