Essential Driver Training (EDT) is a structured program consisting of 12 one-hour driving lessons, designed to equip learner drivers with the fundamental skills needed to drive safely and confidently. The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has made it mandatory for all new learner drivers to complete these 12 EDT driving lessons before they can book a driving test.
